Our Mission

The Blooming Collective Project exists to support, uplift, and empower women of color living with autoimmune diseases. We are on a mission to create a safe, restorative space where women navigating chronic illness can find community, resources, and the tools to reclaim their joy, health, and purpose. We believe healing is more than survival—it's about thriving, blooming, and living fully on our own terms.

About Us

Living with an autoimmune disease as a woman of color is a layered, often overlooked experience. From delayed diagnoses to lack of culturally competent care, we understand the journey—and we're here to walk it together.

At The Blooming Collective Project, we center the unique needs of our community through wellness programs, financial support, and spaces built for honest, healing conversations.

Meet Our Founder Erika Johnson

Erika Johnson is a strategist, wellness advocate, and Lupus warrior. After her diagnosis in 2021, Erika experienced firsthand the isolation, fear, and frustration that come with managing a chronic illness—especially as a Black woman. Determined to turn her pain into purpose, she founded The Blooming Collective Project to make sure no woman of color facing autoimmune disease ever feels unseen or unsupported.

Erika is passionate about creating spaces that nurture rest, restoration, and reinvention. Her work bridges her personal healing journey with her expertise in community-building and operations, helping women bloom at every stage of life—despite chronic illness
